The event took place on April 23rd, 2016 in Stockton at University of the Pacific. There was a lot of fantastic work and great opportunities to experiment and create new work on hand. Steve Mehallo invited a number of Flommists, including your’s truly, to participate in the event.
Steve and I created this website, based on many of the ideas and coding practice in my experimental JavaScript art project. He provided the visuals, and I randomized and animated them.
The challenge was to make something unique and yet provide the details for the event in a readable way. Putting the actual content of the site in a scrollable container on the right hand side of the page seemed like an ideal way to do this.
Plus, I really enjoyed mimicking the old blink tag.
