About MeadDesign

MeadDesign was started as my design company, but it has become a lot more than that. I take on a wide variety of projects and this site has become a home for many of the different types of work that I do.

The process for working together can differ greatly from project to project, but below you will find a general guideline for completing projects with me.

MeadDesign Process

1. Project Discussion

First we discuss goals for your project. I am a very good listener and problem solver. I can help you think out loud. Most clients come to me not quite sure about what they want, or what the options are, and that is ok. We will get to know one another and develop a plan for your project.

2. Project Planning

Next we define an end point and/or phases for the project. Everyone is busy and it is always easier to take things in small bites. We will develop a strategy for each step or phase and set some reasonable deadlines. Some pieces belong to the client, and some I will do. Communication and timeliness are key ingredients for success. We will work as a team, and the collaboration is what makes design work so interesting for me.

3. Project Development

Then we build in small pieces, always with an eye towards other options and possibilities. Your end goal is the primary objective and our plan for getting there may change along the way. We may develop sketches, prototypes, mockups – whatever makes sense for your project.

4. Project Implementation

Finally we will implement the final agreed upon design and make whatever revisions are necessary. Revisions are part of the creative process and it can be really fun to see how an idea for a design evolves and becomes refined to the point where it seems really simple and effortless. You will know what it took to get there!

Maintenance and Support

Once a project is over, I am there to help with whatever comes up. I stand by my work and have enjoyed long term relationships with my clients over the years. Many of my clients want to take control of their own websites, or be able to work with their own graphics files and I love to empower people to do so. I can help you learn and be a reliable resource for you.
